The pleasure side of working out at Timberline!   We provide a variety of massage services and we tailor each massage to the client.

We offer deep-tissue, sports massage and Swedish massage.  You may have heard all of these terms.  All are therapeutic and appropriate for most clients.  At its simplest, massage pushes blood through muscle tissue.  Varying levels of pressure usually differentiate the different types of massage. Massage therapy diminishes soreness througout the body, assists in motor function, increases blood flow to the muscles and improves range of motion.

We also offer chair massage, foot massage and hot or cold stone massage. Read more about these services under the rates tabs below.

For gentle exfoliation, add a Salt Scrub to any massage for an additional $18.

The client should allow the therapist to use firm pressure, up to the point of tensing the muscles.  However, any massage session should never bruise a client.  Varying levels of pressure usually differentiate the different types of massage.  Clients are always draped by a full sheet during a massage session.  Body parts are uncovered and recovered as the session progresses.  The client should feel free to speak up during a session and give feedback on their comfort.

What is Thai Massage?
Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient form of healing believed to originate from the time of Buddha.  Thai Massage techniques differ from the scooping strokes of Western Massage.  Another name for Thai Massage is “Lazy Man’s Yoga” or “Passive Yoga” as the therapist is known to put the client into different yoga positions.  Out of 72,000 energy lines said to be in existence throughout the body, Thai Massage focuses on 10 major lines using acupressure points along these energy lines to help removes blockages to allow free flow of energy through the body.  The Therapists hands, feet, forearms, knees, and elbows are used during this massage.  Traditional Thai Massage is done on a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed and no lotions or oils involved.
